Boerboels have short hair that does not shed in large quantities. They benefit from a weekly brushing to remove dead hair and keep their coats tidy and clean. They don't require frequent bathing. The Boerboel also known as the South African Mastiff, is a large, molosser type breed from South Africa bred for guarding the home. These dogs were bred as working farm dogs and is now one of the most popular and powerful dog breeds.
